About

Jay Eitner is proud of the education he received from the New Jersey Public School System. After graduating from Union High school in 1997, he attended the American University in Washington, D.C., where he obtained his degree in interdisciplinary studies. He began his teaching career in Roselle, NJ, where he taught a variety of subjects such as social studies, computers, and digital literacy.

He would later pursue his master’s degree from Kean University in 2004. Afterward, he taught 8th grade social studies in the nationally recognized East Brunswick Public School, where he has written and received over $140,000 grants for his students. He obtained his supervisor, principal, and school administrator certificates from the NJPSA NJ-EXCEL program in 2009.

Throughout his teaching career, Mr. Eitner was known for his out-of-the-box and technology-oriented approach to teaching and strove to create learning environs that was student-centered, data-driven, and technology-infused.

His roles as administrator include middle school assistant principal in the Washington Township Schools, a K-12 supervisor of social studies in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, and a Superintendent of the Lower Alloways Creek School District. Today, he is a superintendent of schools for the Allentown Arts Academies.

Education is a fast-paced environment, and over the years he found the current professional development programs available to educators lacking. This had profound repercussions for both the professional advancement of educators and the impact it had on their students. Thus, he founded Eitner education in 2012 to provide both seasoned and rookie educators the opportunity for career progression and professional development.
